Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Stepr browser extension and web application at app.stepr.kz (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or installing the extension you accept these Terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the Service.

1. What Stepr does

Stepr records sequences of actions you perform in a browser tab you explicitly choose, and turns them into shareable step-by-step documents. The extension captures screenshots and interactions; the web app stores and renders the resulting workflows.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know immediately at aziviled@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. What you can and can't record

You agree not to use Stepr to record:

• Content of other people's accounts without their consent.
• Data you are not authorized to access or share (e.g. confidential corporate info belonging to someone else, medical records you don't own, etc.).
• Payment card numbers, full government IDs, or similar high-sensitivity material. Stepr masks password fields but cannot reliably redact every sensitive field — use good judgment.
• Content that is illegal in Kazakhstan.

You are responsible for compliance with the laws and agreements that apply to the sites and data you record.

4. Content ownership

You own the workflows, screenshots, and other content you create. You grant Stepr a limited license to store, process, and display that content for the purpose of operating the Service for you (and for the people you explicitly share content with).

Stepr does not claim any other rights to your content, and we don't use it to train machine-learning models without your explicit consent.

5. Sharing

You control the visibility of every workflow (private, specific people, team, or link-accessible). Stepr only shows your content to others in accordance with your visibility settings.

6. Paid plans

Stepr offers free and paid tiers as described at app.stepr.kz/ultraplan. Paid tiers renew monthly or yearly depending on the billing period you pick. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We may change prices or plan features with at least 30 days notice to paid subscribers.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or suspend access to fix security issues. We will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption and to notify paid subscribers of any planned downtime.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to:

• Abuse, harass, or mislead other users.
• Probe, scan, or reverse-engineer the Service in ways designed to bypass security or rate limits.
• Upload malware or use Stepr as a staging platform for attacks.
• Resell the Service or rebrand it without a written agreement with us.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from dashboard settings. We may terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with or without notice if the breach is serious. Upon termination we delete your workflows and screenshots within 30 days unless law requires us to retain specific records longer.

10. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that Stepr will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suit a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stepr's aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or zero if you use only the free tier).

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Disputes go to the courts of Astana unless law requires otherwise.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date and notify account holders through the app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
